Ubie Initiates Collaboration with Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim in the Field of Pulmonary Fibrosis

This partnership integrates Ubie’s web-based medical information service "Ubie AI Symptom Checker (https://ubie.app/)" and Boehringer Ingelheim Japan's comprehensive pulmonary fibrosis information site "Understand, Connect, Pulmonary Fibrosis (https://hai-senishou.jp/)."

Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) refer to a group of diseases causing inflammation and other issues in the "interstitium," the walls of the alveoli in the lungs. Pulmonary fibrosis, a type of ILD, involves inflammation in the lung interstitium, leading to hardening (fibrosis) of the interstitial walls and making breathing difficult [1]. Once fibrosis occurs, it is challenging for the affected area to return to its original state. In this collaboration, users of "Ubie AI Symptom Checker," which attracts 4.5 million users monthly, will receive links to "Specialized Hospital Search" and "Understand, Connect, Pulmonary Fibrosis" when they report symptoms related to pulmonary fibrosis such as "shortness of breath," "difficulty breathing," "dry cough," "persistent cough," and "palpitations." These links provide access to information on related diseases, medical institution searches, and various details about ILDs, including pulmonary fibrosis associated with collagen vascular diseases.

Both companies aim to enhance the provision of information on pulmonary fibrosis, contribute to raising awareness, and facilitate early detection through this collaboration.
