"Ubie AI Symptom Checker," developed by over 50 active physicians and utilized in medical institutions with AI Technology

"Ubie AI Symptom Checker" is a consultation support service that helps consumers seek appropriate medical care. By answering about 20 questions regarding their symptoms through the app or web, users can freely look up related diseases, information about these diseases, and nearby medical institutions. Developed by applying the AI-powered questionnaire feature of the "Ubie Medical Navi" service, which has been used in numerous medical institutions, including large hospitals, since 2018, "Ubie" was launched urgently in April 2020 in response to the growing issue of people avoiding medical consultations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. More than 50 active physicians were involved in the development of the service, which is based on approximately 50,000 medical papers and covers over 3,500 symptoms and 1,100 diseases. From its initial launch, the service has grown in user numbers mainly through word of mouth. Additionally, the rapid spread of a new feature that allows users to research their questions and concerns about diseases and treatment methods has helped "Ubie" surpass 10 million monthly users, with over 5 million registered accounts. This growth signifies the steady adoption of the practice of checking symptoms and diseases with "Ubie" first.

Since the launch of our service, the total number of uses has exceeded 180 million. Furthermore, it is estimated that approximately 18.38 million people, which is about one in six of the population, have visited a clinic after using "Ubie AI Symptom Checker," contributing to the appropriate matching of individuals with medical services. Additionally, to quantitatively measure the positive impact of our business activities, including "Ubie," on society, we have estimated the social impact indicators (*1). The results suggest that, since our founding in 2017, our business activities, in collaboration with our stakeholders, have extended healthy life expectancy by an estimated 27,000 years, with an economic value exceeding 150 billion yen.

"Ubie AI Symptom Checker," which has surpassed 10 million monthly users as the "gateway to medical care" at the onset of symptoms, aims to become a "Personal Health Management Platform" used by 30 million people monthly. This platform will be available not only at the onset of symptoms but also at every stage, including consultation, treatment, and health maintenance. As the first step, we have officially started integration with the My Number Portal on "Ubie AI Symptom Checker" today, allowing users to record and manage consultations and prescriptions. Additionally, starting from Saturday, May 18, 2024, we will launch a TV commercial campaign (*2) to further enhance recognition and promote usage. Moreover, by leveraging technologies such as generative AI, we aim to make various functions smoother and more intuitive to use, thereby further improving the user experience.
